Zayif Colossus
Towering above the sands, these colossal walkers would make anyone pause before threatening Mazhar Zayif . A signature piece of military hardware for the Zayif Nation, these mammoth walkers are designed from salvaged Dwarven golems of old.
These are no semi-sapient servitors however. They are vehicles controlled through a complicate array of levers and pulleys, fueled by the sun thanks to the lost art of lightcraft.
Power Generation
The Colossus utilizes an ancient 'Lightcraft Beam Drive' to provide motive power. Almaz crystals gather and focus light into a series of motors which operate its arms and legs. The exact mechanisms of this drive are almost identical to that of ancient Dwarven golems, with the only real change seems to be the routing of controls to a pilot's cabin on the top.
Weapons & Armament
Colossi are equipped based on their requirements. Most Colossi are used for patrols and intimidation more than actual combat, and thus are kept with a minimal armament of just relying on their massive hands and feet to crush enemies.
The Colossi used to defend Mazhar Zayif's walls, and in times of war, are equipped with up to a trio of repeating crossbow turrets long the outside of the cabin. Though it hasn't been used in centuries, Colossi are still produced to be able to attach siege ladders and trebuchets to their backs in the event of a siege.
