The Great Expanse

The south east of Castordia is swept by desert. Few residents of Castordia dare to wander these sands. Only the nomads known as dragon lords know how to keep safe passage through this place. Dragon lords keep the secrets of the desert, its paths, temples and waters. And of course the gratest secret is wht might be on the other side of the great expanse that castordians dare not cross.
The climate in this place is too harsh for the elves or southern sea people, and orcs (although otherwise well suited to the desert) dislike the rough and dry air.

Geography

The land out here is dry, nothing but rocks and sand for miles upon miles. Small outposts and oases dot the desert, however finding them (or any other landmark for that matter) is difficult without an adequate guide.

Fauna & Flora

The gristle bunnies of this land (and indeed there are few) are well adapted to the dry climate. Here the wild ones live in sandy burrows to keep cool in the day and warm in the night. These are considered a rare treat when eaten.
Dragon Lords, and the wandering nomads that they lead claim to have a special connection to certain creatures in this place. (The dragons of this place are said to grow from the size of a pinhead to that of a mountain)
Tall and sturdy grasses may be found throughout the desert.

Natural Resources

Underneath the desert there are the remnants of cities long gone, they may hold many secets and treasures for the adventurer fortunate enough to find one. The surface of the desret is a hub of trade, with many waypoints and stoppages that allow travelling traders to meet, intangible perhaps, but anything can be found in such a place for the right price.
