Healing Springs Bathhouse

Healing Springs Bathhouse is located in the town of Healing Springs in Novami. The town's location is unique because they not only have a hot spring, but are also close enough to the river between Novami and the Northern Lands that they can use waterwheels to power much of their day to day activities.

Healing Springs is one of the first towns an exile from the Northern Lands would run across when entering Novami and all those who manage to cross the river into the town are immediately sent to the Bathhouse. There, healers look them over and then let them soak in the spring for a while, letting the water and the healing crystals in it to do their work on both body and mind.

The Bathhouse is well known across much of Novami as a place that one goes to when traditional healing just won't work or isn't an option. Noth everything can be cured by the waters, of course, but the healers who live there carefully maintain the crystals in the water and ensure that they remain at their most potent.

Even those with mental illnesses benefit from the soothing waters. There are baths meant to promote a sound mind and ease hurts, which is primarily used by those exiles that come to the town. Though there are others, the exiles have often been ripped away from everything they've known and cared about and are emotionally fragile. The waters give them temporary respite until they can come to terms with their new situation. For some, this takes a matter of days. For others, they spend many years coming to the Bathhouse every day to soothe the ache of what they left behind. These individuals will often stay in Healing Springs and work there, gradually finding that the best thing they can do to help themselves is to guide others who also feel that pain into a better life.
