In a time before time the gods and primordials fought for each world, in most the gods won but in a handful of realms fell under the primordials. This realm is one such place. Before the primordials left the realm they created guardians, the Titans. Each was to govern a portion of the land, but war among them was soon to follow. the war carried many consequences titanic corpses, the land scared and torn asunder, and the shattering. the first shattering occurred, the titans all were forced into hibernation or killed. Yet from the blood of the titans more were born, first the giants, and soon after the dwarfs were formed. Once born the giant felt a great need to dominate the world. only the dragons had the power to oppose them. Thus the giants set to work on enslaving the mortal races those that managed to flee became the goblinoids, and those that were captured became the ogreoid. Desperate to end the war the dragons tore apart the foundation of magic, and the second shattering happened. Magic became chaotic, and those that required it to live, such as the giants and dragons lost their minds. Freed from their chains the ogreoid started to live their lives, many of them too unstable to form any kind of society. It is not known what caused the third shattering, but the land of syphon was torn to shreds. Soon after being freed the shattering occurred. The realm was torn from the multiverse, a shard of each plane along with it. Though only the elemental planes remaining connected. People from many realms and many times found themselves thrown into this harsh world. Though it did not take long for groups to form it took many years for society to take root.
