The Knights Carmine

The royal military of Carminia is composed of five branches:

1. The Knights Carmine
2. The Royal Navy
3. Enklavo Karminio
4. The Inquisition
5. The Red Messengers

Of the five, the largest branch by far is the Knights Carmine. Throughout the kingdom, the Knights enforce the will and word of His Majesty, King Eivyn Yoric VII. Their gleaming heavy plate armor and crimson cloaks make them known ubiquitously as avatars of the Crown.
Ostensibly, they are the defenders of the realm, and function as law enforcement and protectors of the kingdom. In reality, under the rule of the current monarch, corruption and cronyism is rampant throughout the government, and the Knights are no exception.
Once a noble and respected order, the kingdom's citizens have now grown largely fearful of their presence. The Knights Carmine have earned a reputation among many as savagely brutal oppressors of the people.
