The Night of the Eclipse

An eclipse in something everyone prays for because when one happens it give everyone the privilege of a April fools day on steroids. When an eclipse happens it is believed that the goddess attention is focused skyward and not earthward so it is a day to let everything slide, it is ok to run naked in the meadows singing, or hurl a rotten tomato at a coworker you don’t like, basically anything you sometimes wish you could do, but don’t because it’s not very nice to others, is ok on the night the moon closes her eyes, no work or productive activity is required this night and the whole land revels in the merriment of disorder
While you can do anything, if you believe someone went to far on this night of no rules, say someone burned down your house, you can have the accused stand trial, and that person would then have to work for you without wages for up to 3 months, and live on beans and potatoes during said time, a very cheap fare to keep your hostage feed. The length is based on how much criminal malice was shown, most are let off with a warning though, because this is a night of no rules.
This tradition was cooked up by Samantha during her rain, because she was a prankster and as queen she could make up any rule she damn well felt like.
