The Collector of lost things

An old man wandering through a city street selling his wares is not an uncommon sight in Thorun, but if tales prove true one of those men might very well be the god Rienntal. The hunchback god may be found on any plane, collecting little trinkets everywhere to add to his collection, that’s how things get lost after all, souls among them. Not only does Rienntal carry a large pack full of oddities, but he also brings the lost spirits of the deceased to the afterlife. His symbol is the doll of a purple weasel, but any lost trinkets placed along the roadside are often left there for him to find. Aside from the fact that he is an elderly man with a hunchback there is not much consensus on his precise appearance as many have claimed to be him hoping for a warm welcome and even more times people have pointed at an old man and exclaimed in surprise that they had found the god.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Rienntal does not enjoy a large following, but among those that do consider him their patron are often kleptomaniacs and others with a need to collect things, be it legal or not. If a cleric of Rienntal is in town he might often see people quickly put all important belongings in one place, fearing that the items might get lost somehow. Other followers of the god are priests overlooking burials and revivals, although that duty is often shared by priests of Vartu, with a rivalry existing between the two clerical groups. Besides the collecting of items the collection of knowledge is also a common trait. Most libraries will have a depiction of Rienntal above the door or an old man might blame his loss of memory on the god taking the knowledge and memories for himself.
