The bearer of the Skyshield

Being the one to heave the skyshield each day and the most common patron for paladins Bastivar has quite the reputation. The god is said to be the most cheerful, a warrior with a golden heart and the one who shields all from the dark of the world. Tales tell of how long ago Khold forged a shield of the purest blue made out of air and light, but none could carry it except the mighty Bastivar, whose arms are the mountains themselves. Everyday as Alb rings his bell Bastivar holds his shield high and protects the world from all the dangers beyond ― the reason for the sky turning blue. His image is that of a red bearded dwarf carved from the mountain itself.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

His followers most often take up the shield themselves and become paladins. Whatever they choose to do, the virtues of loyalty and a will to protect can often be found within them. While the most dwarfs worship the god of the mountain they come from, they almost always hold some respect for bastivar and make up the biggest part of his worshippers.
