The Dawn Waker

As one half of the celestial twins, Alb and Vartu, this god is the embodiment of light, beauty and the arts. It is said that he and his brother were once mortals who endured a harrowing journey into the deepest reaches of the Abyss, searching for the Aubade Bell to wake the sun and put an end to an everlasting night. As they found the bell however the vain Vartu, seduced by the dark powers of the plane, wanted the bell for himself and a struggle as old as time broke out between the two. The victorious Alb now sits on the peak of the highest mountain to remind the sun of its path each dawn. The myth of the two brothers is etched into the many temples dedicated to Alb. The temples are mostly build atop high places and generally feature big windows and a place for any who wishes to spend the night indoors. Alb is most often depicted as blonde halfling, dressed in loose garbs, with a large bell strapped to his back
