Genetics and Reproduction

reproduce asexually every 100 years where they lay an egg into water mixed heavily with alum and nutrients after 12 years they emerge using all the water and materials that was within to become a fully grown Opealu.

History

Due to the easy access to sustenance on their home world and sedentary lifestyles they spent most their lives conversing growing to have exceptionally complicated societies and cultures where the action or word of someone the Opealu has never met and only knows of because a friend of a friends spawner heard one time that they said they prefer their water with higher concentrations of Alum rather then other minerals may come into play hundreds of years later. but due to this excessive amount of communications and access to minerals that are relatively rare elsewhere on their planet they developed relatively quickly compared to other species actually becoming the first to create a Quantum Drive.
