Artitle the Philosopher
Professor Artitle
Artitle was the son, and 4th child, of two competent but mediocre philosophy teachers at the University of Smetium. Artitle’s parents were both loving and caring of their children and provided them with a complete education along with a stimulating environment wherein their children would blossom. While not much is known about Artitle’s siblings we do know that each did well for themselves in life.
During his career. Artitle demonstrated an immense intellectual curiosity. As such, he enjoyed debating with the learned within the educational community especially in the fields of logic, governance religion and scientific ethics. Many of his debates revolved around issues of individual rights, the religious dichotomy of right and wrong, good or evil and freedom versus autocracy. Artitle argued that extremes of any kind were antithetical to a well-functioning civilization. As he aged Artitle turned more and more of his attention to the topic of Religion. Finding himself baffled by why there were so many Gods whose domains were either the same as another or overlapped significantly with each other. How many gods of weather, war, natural occurrences, fertility or death are needed to draw attention to the needs of any one person. It was this that led Artitle to become the first to posit a Supreme Being that sat above all the Gods of Man in their many forms. That Supreme Being would be faceless and personally unknowable as it would exist outside of any level of perception currently understood and outside of time itself.

Morality & Philosophy
Artitle posited that the morality of a Supreme Being is so far outside of any lifeform’s ability to comprehend as to be mind boggling. What does a Supreme Being that creates numerous worlds within a multitude of universes consider to be moral behavior? Does a being capable of so much creation that is left to then decay back into nothingness possess a moral compass? Artitle speculated that a being of such power, living outside any known sphere of existence would not even bother itself with what any one lesser being was doing. To clarify, a Supreme Being would be above it all and devoid of any needs that would require something it had created to provide it with anything at all.
