Miriam Zarah Habiba

Great Mother Miriam Zarah Habiba

The first proposed leader of the Ventryte people, Miriam was not elected or chosen but rather, rose to the occasion when her people needed her most and excelled at thwarting the challenges put forward by the War of Human Attrition and years that followed. Miriam not only led her people through the final years of the war, but is remembered as a shrewd negotiator during the days of the authoring of the Pact of Erindall and the years that followed as she led her people into the East and began to work out a way of life that sustained and maintained the ideals that made them unique.

Personal history

Very little is known about Miriam's private life before the war, as she was a very private person. She rose to the occasion during the war when the initial leadership of the Ventrytes failed to direct their forces in a efficient way and led to the deaths of hundreds. In a daring route, Miriam and a small group of her kin rushed the Becht forces while they were unaware and broke their line from within, crushing the leadership of that particular battle in a single, bloody evening, leaving the remaining troops in disordered confusion. She was known for utilizing unorthodox tactics and for being remarkably ruthless when needed, and at the same time, remarkably merciful and kind with those that she felt were only following orders.
