The Cult of Lambs

Those worshipers of Sutaas, although rare, form the cult of lambs. These zealots are bringers of plague and disease, serving in a sort of mutualism with society. Their piety is proven when they take upon the burdens of others; disease and illness being common, so that others do not have to. They strangely tend to reduce the amount of disease in an area for the most part.

Structure

There is no structure; Sutaas finds the concept of titles and ego to be destructive to his "charitable" mission.

Public Agenda

Their public agenda is almost at odds with itself. The lambs wish to take upon themselves all the Ill of the world, so that the world may become better. Though, when it is forgotten what the lambs do for society, they will instead release their pain upon the world.

Assets

They Lambs, followers of the humble Sutaas, follow in their example. They own nothing but the worn clothes on their backs and occasionally magic items to assist in their work.

History

The Cult of Lambs was originally a cult more concerned with medicine and healing, but after Sutaas's dethroning they became concerned not with healing, but becoming vessels for suffering.

Mythology & Lore

The myths of Sutaas are few , but all are true stories of awfulness, meant to drive away those without the will for their work. They wish to take all the suffering from the world; no wound too great, no disease to terrible,  no abuse to cruel for them. They desire this to make the world a better place.

Ethics

The followers of Sutaas follow a strict code of ethics. To possess is to sin, to deny pain is to sin, and to deny pestilence is to sin. To take all is purity.

Priesthood

Those blessed with the divinity of suffering are especially revered. They normally discard their names and take the title of Suffering One. If a cleric is to follow the path with steadfast resolve, becoming a paragon of Sutaas, they may ascend to the title of " The Lamb".

Political Influence & Intrigue

Occasionally, if an individual cult garners enough followers, the cult will attempt to influence politics. These events are often similar to inquisitions with the Cult rooting out the weak and sinful, as they see them.
