Harquil

As you approach Harquil it looks just like any other place with people working the fields to grow food for winter but as you go deeper into the country it changes drastically. farther in there are gnomes everywhere bustling about doing their work during the day so they can let loose once night falls. Large golems made of stone and metal lumbering through the streets carrying heavy objects for their gnome creators. The closer you get to the center ring, the more scientific it becomes.

Structure

Harquil is led by 5 guild leader, each in control of an important cog in the machine that is Harquil

To advance the technolagy of the world nomatter who may try and stand in the way.

Assets

A surplus of minerals from the mountains that surround them that are used for trade to make gold as well as advance their exparments.

History

Harquil was founded at the same time as Sardonia after Xerunes Folly. They have had a long rivalry with Sardonia due to Harquil being very forward-thinking and Sardonia being stuck in their old ways refusing to move forward.

Demography and Population

Mostly Gnomes with a few halflings being the dominate races but there are a few other races there but they are rare.

Military

They do have a standing military though not very large they are equipped with more advanced weapons such as the Arquebus. The house Flonzall is the house of warriors, when one chooses to join Flonzall they pledge their life to the protection of Harquil and train for 18 hours a day every day.

Technological Level

Harquil is the most advanced civilization on Seldar due to their long lifespan and their pholosophy of always moving forward.

Foreign Relations

They have a very good relationship with Gilrint and Thruun'Marr because of their long trade history. They do however have a rivalry with Sardonia.

Agriculture & Industry

House of Pombass is the house in charge of manufacture and owns all of the general manufacturies and is one of the largest of the houses. The house of Conapwa is the house in charge of farming and owns the most land in Harquil and provides the majority of the food. The house of Tympum is the house of smiths, those in Tympum make all the metal tools, weapons, armor, and any other metal items that must be forged.

Trade & Transport

Harquil uses mostly roads to trade materials with Thuun'Mar abut uses the riverways to trade with Gilrint.

Education

Harquil has the best education in Seldar. Being as progressive as they are they can't afford to be lax on educating their youth.

Never look to the past, always look to the future. No matter the cost.
