The Remanences

The ones who dares to find the citadel of Ikaria leftovers were granted many kind of strength. Those divines objects are still drenched of power. People named those object : Remanence. After thorough studies of those remanences, none was able to harvest their essence, but at least, they found a way to use it to improve their powers.
The remanences reminds old times, where Cadriza wasn't still there. Ikaria Citadel was the residence of the old gods, and the place where they would use their divines strength. This place full of power, is today fallen, after the war of ashes.
None know why those ancient objects came down to Cadriza. But their influence is unbelievable, an incredible amount of creature rised up from the place where remanences landed.
Some people said that remanences were a gift from the ancient gods to bring life on Cadriza. But some others says that it's a way for the ancient gods to communicate with their devots and exploit Cadriza mystical power.
Many people tried to get to the remanences and many died, but whom survived are today famous for what they have accomplished.
Further studies are needed to understand what really those objects are.
Remanences are round shaped object, with a crystal-like material. They emanate sounds during nights. They are transparent and decompose light when she reach them.
The sound provocated by the remanences aren't understand yet. But feedback of people who went to them, tend to say that it makes you feel surprisingly light.
However they can shine of different colors in function of the living organism that is near it (~ 20 meters). For example, a human would make the remanence shines red, thus a tree would make it shine green.
No matter how hard you try to break those, you can't, it seems unbreakable. However, a rumor tell that if you reunite enough remanences and bring them to the world center, you can ascend and become a god. The council consider this as impossible, since Cadriza was made out of [place holder].

Purpose

The remanences aren't defined yet. But one thing is clear, their divine power are the sign that somewhere, the ashes of the ancient gods aren't as inert as we may thought.
