Tezcatl Yohualli, Lord of the Night
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral | Domains: Knowledge, Trickery, War
Patron god of the Tabaxi, Tezcatl Yohualli is sometimes called the “Jaguar Lord”, or “Lord of the Night” by his priesthood. He is a mercurial deity and his motives are never quite clear, though the Tabaxi know that he always looks out for his chosen people. His domains include secret knowledge, duplicity, the night, and war. He often manifests a cloud of obsidian smoke, or in the guise of a large, prowling jaguar, his voice always tinged with mirth and curiosity. In most depictions, he is portrayed as a tall, well-muscled tabaxi with black and yellow bands painted across his eyes and wearing a black cloak and feathered headdress. His symbol is a cat’s paw wreathed in smoke, and the jaguar is his sacred animal.
