Buena Vista

Located on the Texas Gulf Coast, Buena Vista is a city that was built on Space Age dreams. Engineers pushed the frontiers of technology, trying to envision a brighter future. These days, their efforts are regarded with a mixture of embarrassment and nostalgia by most of the mortal residents. The fae residents, however, know those old dreams still hold power.   Buena Vista is a hotbed of fae activity in the modern world, though thanks to the Mask, it goes mostly unnoticed by mortal eyes, and strange behaviors dismissed as an eccentric city's nightlife. Walking among the mortals are Changelings, humans who were once spirited away to Faerie and escaped its terrible beauty to reclaim or rebuild their lives. Here, the freehold of The Silver Spire struggles to protect its members and the mortal community from The Lords and Ladies of Faerie without drawing too much attention to themselves.   Formerly human or not, Changelings are often as tricksy and deceptive as their purely fae cousins, and must be careful about becoming too trusting of their fellows. Too often, a Changeling will cut a deal if it means saving their own hide from their former Keeper.
