Bright Moon

The setting of Bright Moon is a world of nature run rampant across the surface of the earth. It is a world lost beneath the ruin of a past cataclysm, a place of floating civilizations and deep and dangerous wilderness. To some a paradise of nature wrought across the entire world, to others, a land untamable, and vengeful. In Bright Moon, Guilds of Adventurers journey from the civilized regions of the sky into the World Below, where unfathomable titans tread, where ancient ruins wait, and treasure gleams from the dark hollows of a world long forsaken.   As crescendo to the magical war between civilization and the natural, an act of Cataclysm, the Malignance, devastated the face of the world forever in an explosion of living energy. Systems of lost mana, Ley Lines, tore themselves free from the depths of the earth and wrapped across the very planet like great constrictor snakes showering the surface of the world in primordial energies. Mountains crumbled as towering forests overran them with monstrous roots, oceans swelled, the very ground exploded outward in clouds of blasting magma. The tumultuous growth of the surface made life inhospitable for those who dwelled apart from nature, but the advent of the ley lines allowed new forms of magic by which these fractured survivors might further themselves and their goals.
