Grauna

Basic Information

Anatomy

Small dog sized gecko with a grass colored strip of fir running from the crown of its head down its spine. Males usually have a shorter tail or it may be docked if has not yet grown back after the mating season.

Genetics and Reproduction

Grauna mate for life. During mating seasons, a male Grauna will rip its tail off and slap a female with it. If the female Grauna accepts the male she will in turn slap the male with her tale, not detaching it, and then the family unit is born.

Growth Rate & Stages

A female grauna will lay a single egg or in rare occasions 2 eggs approximately 60 days after inception, and after they are laid they sit for about 9 days before hatching. Once the egg has hatched they will grow slowly until they reach adulthood at 7 months.

There isnt usually too much of a change on the weather around them but they will be more active in the winter so as to find more vulnerable prey or prey that may have froze to death

Not common due to their little intelligence and the fact that they are seen as a nuisance but it has been seen as a familiar since it is quite stealthy
