Lecrannsí ((Le-k-raw-n-sh-ee))
What Is It?
The Lecrannsí is a small wooden hut built around an old hollow tree in the northern forests of De Fiscé. It is a strange place infused with an almost unheard of magic. It is hidden in the forest East of Gealoch. It was founded by a faerie called Croíás -- who due to their long lifespan still runs the Lecrannsí. Surprisingly -- for a hut run by a faerie -- the Lecrannsí is a place of healing. Due to it's strong connections with the Neársa Slánú, Croíás's own abilities, and the hut's gifted magical qualities, the Lecrannsí has the ability to heal every ailment or injury that passes through it's door. Background
Croíás set up the Lecrannsí after being ostracized from Faerie society. They had repeatedly broken faerie rules by venturing to the surface with their púca friend, Rógair . What really caused the problem though was them using their magic to save the life of a wounded human, who had been a friend of Rógair's. This caused quite a stir within the Court of Síaile who despised humans so much they often cursed them to a terrible fate if they even stepped near a tree that the court felt they had the right to own. The court did not hesitate to kick Croíás out, and the other púca shunned Rógair for her positive connection with the humans. To get by Croíás and Rógair built a small wattle and daub hut around a young tree in the forest East of Gealoch. They lived there quietly getting food from their human friends and avoiding contact with the other faeries and púca where they could. The Healing Gift
Some time went by when one day the Neársa Slánú appeared briefly at the hut. It took pity on them and gifted the tree that the hut was built around some of its healing powers. This allowed the tree and whoever was looking after it the ability to heal any and all ailments or wounds in a matter of hours. were over joyed and began to bring ill humans from the surrounding villages and communities to the hut for healing. It took them a little while to understand exactly how to treat each ailment or injury. Most of the time just being in the immediate vicinity of the tree removed all physical pain and helped heal the creature faster, but for more life threatening things it took a bit more work. For illness eating a single leaf off the tree cured the creature. For fractures it took splinting the area with a twig from its branches, and for bleeds it took covering the wound with a few leaves from the tree. The Curse
It did not take long for the Court of Síaile to catch on to what they were doing. Out of sheer spite and malicious intent one of the most powerful faeries there put a curse on the Lecrannsí. This curse meant that the existence of the Lecrannsí would be wiped from the memory of those that knew of it. This curse affected every creature apart from Croíás and Rógair. As a result the people in the nearby villages and communities who were going around trying to spread the word about the Lecrannsí and its powers were now left wondering what it was they were trying to inform people of. Drawings of the Lecrannsí became myth in the human communities, with no one remembering what this drawing was of let alone why it was even drawn in the first place.Carrying On
To combat this Rógair set out for days sometimes even weeks to find sick or injured people and bring them back to the Lecrannsí. She has successfully brought back many creatures to be healed, and has also been looking for the Neársa Slánú in the hopes that it might return and break the curse. Croíás remains at the tree to tend to it, and to help any that happened to wander close enough. Still to this day they are devoted to bettering themselves of the old faerie ideologies and to helping those who need it.

Love the Irish influence! Do you speak it?
Thanks for the love and I'm glad you like it! Sadly no, I wish I could though. The methods of teaching it in schools aren't the most effective :( I might take a curse in conversational Irish though when I'm in college, but for now it's online dictionary to the rescue xD
