The world died, and a Braythian champion was chosen...

As the mad dragon god ripped apart the entire world, the human wizard Charryn was chosen as a champion by the mysterious powers of Braythe. His two companions, Marisha Veilbreaker and Shadar Khuravi, witnessed as a purple mist engulfed him, and his body was overflowing with magical power.   But before the process was completed, Zathruax hit the mortal with a single strike of his tail. It was not even a targeted attack against Charryn, it was just a random hit. But it killed the wizard instantly.   While Shadar was shocked and petrified, Marisha didn't accept that everything should be over now. She shouted at the powers that had chosen Charryn, demanded that they chose her instead. It is said that the mysterious entities of Braythe hesitated, but finally agreed. Marisha Veilbreaker was the new champion, and at the very last moments before Virthys died, she created Ashandri.
