The neighboring worlds of Ashandri

Two world-chains are fused with the floating island that is Ashandri, the massive metal chain links fused with the rock of its bottom side. They connect to the neighboring world-isles of Va'Laeth and Morothai.

Va'Laeth

The chain under Delvaroth leads to the world of Va'Laeth, ruled by Cirandir, the Tiefling warlock that made a pact with The Perishing. The war between these two worlds still goes on, even though no armies are marching right now (at least none that the common people know of).
Cirandir, Ruler of Va'Laeth by henryez
Free idle video animation of Cirandir   Va'Laeth is divided into seven regions, each under the rule of a single race. Their monarchs are also the greatest generals in Cirandir's army, called queen and king generals. The Perishing are constant visitors here, and their influence has blackened and tainted the entire land and its inhabitants. From the fearsome ravager elves of Kav'drush to the twisted undead forces of Hrishgul, most Laethians seek only one thing: The destruction of everything but their own home. The few exceptions have to hide their true feelings, hoping to maybe, one day, find their way to a different world... before the influence of the Perishing taints their souls, too.   Ashandrian agents that are found in Va'Laeth are usually killed on sight. If a person seems to be of particular interest, they are brought in for questioning. But as soon as they are of no use, they have to expect the worst.

Morothai

Under the Mesmerizing Mountains, Divrashin's domain and the first region to be saved from the old world, the second chain emerges. It leads to Morothai, a world-island that seems to have undergone a second apocalypse. No champion or ruler is known from this world, and only a few living creatures still roam this realm.   The land itself seems to dissolve: The soil and rock slowly crumbles away, and drifts upwards, as if drawn into the void. It is a strange sight walking through Morothai, fist-sized pieces of the dying land floating in mid-air. Despite its bleak state, this world seems to have had a rich culture once: There are entire cities that look like it's been just a few years since someone lived there. Ruins and abandoned sites of all kinds spread throughout the land. Not even nature has taken over, plants and animals retreating to the few safe havens that still exist.   Safe being relative in this world, these areas, no more than a few miles wide each, are at least somewhat alive. But even here, some void wraiths haunt the land, killing anything they can find. They seem to be able to exist on Morothai without the risk of dissolving.   There is evidence of a great war, and some sages speculate that Morothai was Va'Laeths main enemy before Ashandri appeared between the two. This is just a theory, though, and it is not even known whether the two worlds were connected at all before Ashandri appeared. Maybe Marisha Veilbreaker knows more, but she tends to be pretty silent when asked about Morothai.   It is a miracle that this world still exists at all. If its champion is dead, the world-island should have been destroyed, too. The world is dying, clearly, but it is not truly dead yet. Whether Morothai is an exception to the rule, or its paragon is still alive and hidden somewhere, is hard to say.
