Borderworlds

Created by

No one knows the specifics of how or why, but everything that revolves around the sun in this place, from the people to the planets themselves, have been dumped here from all over the multi-verse through various means. Some toyed with magic or technology far beyond their understanding, others angered gods, while some came through as the result of some calamity that occurred on their world, and others were simply very, very unlucky.   These are the Borderworlds. Six planets littered with ruins and filled with secrets from the remnants of the civilizations that once inhabited them, brought here from all over the unknowable multi-verse to form one of the greatest mysteries of all time.   Isolated, and seemingly inescapable, these worlds are linked to eachother only by the Monoliths: ancient, floating pillars of stone regularly distributed throughout each world, that when touched, can transport that individual across space by unknown means, to one of the other 5 worlds.   Most monoliths have some form of settlement built up around them. Unfortunately, these settlements are the only places on these worlds that are even partially safe, as almost everything on these planets are out for blood...   The players are humans from Earth that have slipped through to the Borderworlds by various means.   There they encounter Symbiotes that bond with them, giving them amazing powers to help them survive their new environments.   How did they get there? What exactly is this place? How do they get home? The players must find the answers to these questions if they are going to survive the Borderworlds...   Designed to be played with a version of D&D 5e that has been modified for play in a modern world as well as this particular setting (which I will eventually post a link to), the wonders of this new and mysterious universe will have your players enthralled and begging for the next session as they explore six alien worlds, their dangers, and their secrets...
