The great Dragon of the north

Back in Neenov, i've chatted with an old man about the tale of the Dragon. Now yeah, I know what yall will say, dragons live in the jungle, what would one do in the north?
But the dragon of the north has nothing to do with those flying reptiles of the Sea of Green. It is a far older, and far more mysterious story. The tale has been carried for centuries, of a mysterious monster that hides in the blizzard, and eats all the creatures that get trapped in the snowstorm. The monster has been said to be a huge huntsbeast large as a house, a swarm of evil creatures, an ice giant, or even a genuine god of winter or an elemental . But more recently, some claim to have seen it in the shape of a huge, white dragon. And this old man, who I've met, is one of them. Here's how he described it to me:
"It was during a cold winter, in the southwestern part of the White Sea. The short day was ending soon, and I felt a strong wind come. I knew it was the premices of an icestorm, so I took shelter on a high ground, in a frozen forest. Before long, the wind strenghtened, and thick clouds covered the sky, while snow began to fall. In the fog, I heard a very loud noise, but not like the whirls of the wind or the dead trees cracking. It was a deep, metallic tone. As the deep sound was approaching, I began to distinguish something in the cloud of snow and ice through the wind. It was as if a snowy hill was sliding through the storm. Its shadow passed in front of me, to disappear swiftly with the wind. For a swift moment, i saw the tip of a smooth wing pass above the ground, seemingly a few cords before me. I think I saw the silhouette of an immense dragon, gliding on the clouds. The sounds lowered, and before the storm began to lose power, it had completely disappeared."
But what is the truth in half a dozen of questionable testimonies? With no trace of either the creature or any carcass leftover, how can we find evidences to support its existence? My grandpa failed at it, as did everyone who attempted to prove it. So where is the truth if noone can find it? I left Neenov with more questions than answers.
