Why another world, laura?!
To create a rich setting for my book with interesting conflicts i can pull upon. I also want to break out of the standard medieval fantasy mindeset that i always seem to fall into and stretch my wings with something a little new.
How is it going to help you?
It will give me solid foundation that i can build and expand upon through my creative writing. It will give readers a world that captures their imagination and leaves them wanting to know more about it.
Why should readers care about your world?

Clockpunk / Magipunk

Feel
To the reader the world should feel rich and woundrous with an air of discovery. On the flip side they should also realise that all is not golden, and a growing malcontent beats at the heart of all things.
Tone
Heavily tarnished, but a hefty amount of elbow grease could bring the shine out
Recurring themes
Small signs of decay: tarnish, rust, rot, dilapidation etc.

Disgruntled citizens
