Although Uros has the largest ports and cities Sinoa keeps this region profitable for the Collective.
Description
The parent star is a mid-cycle yellow star, part of a binary system with a brown dwarf. The system includes three gas giants, Sinoa, four dwarf planets, two debris rings, and dozens of moons.
Slightly smaller than Earth Sinoa has a diverse ecosystem with most indigenous life being similar to those found in Sol-System.
Slight atmospheric differences were accounted for before the establishment of the colony. Its native flora and fauna were impacted but no mass extinctions took place. There wasn’t an advanced native culture so no resettlement protocols were necessary for colonization.
The chemical and mineral diversity in the system mirrors that of Sol-System making it the anchor colony for manufacturing. This also makes the system a perfect target for piracy.
Sinoa has massive oceans covering 94% of its surface. The landmass of the planet consists of two large continents in the opposing polar regions, a mid-sized continent in the northern hemisphere, and the remaining landmass comprised of island chains scattered over the surface of the planet.
People
The population is diverse but does have a large majority of people from ancient Pan-Pacific and Asian cultures. Colonists are referred to as Sinoan or in a more derogatory manner, Atlanteans.
- Android as on other worlds androids are attached to a Chronos household or facility. They are more common on Sinoa than any other Chronos world in the sector.
- Cyborgs are more common on Sinoa than any other planet in Chronos Space almost eighty percent of the adult population has some degree of cybernetic enhancement.
- Sinoan are the majority of the world population. There are countless ethnic groups within this population.
- The remaining population of the planet is made up of a variety of immigrants and visitors from Chronos Space.
Faiths and Legends
Religions on the colony are as diverse as its population. In recent years there has been a resurgence of two ancient faiths, Buddhism, and Shinto but any and all known faiths are welcome on Sinoa.
There is a widespread myth that a virus of alien origin has begun spreading. According to the myth those infected are “changed” and are communicating with an alien race from the distant past. Most colonists and traders discount this story, but in the last three years it has gained more believers than ever before.
