Session 2: House keeping Report

General Summary

After checking over their new home, the party asked their liaison Ulf about getting a baggage or riding pony and went back into the town before shops closed for the night. Nemora and Seh-k'r left with Ulf while Kole stayed behind to babysit Gamma. They found their way to Beast Street and the stables managed by the blind Halfling Sigurd. Pony, tack and stabling paid for, they turned their thoughts to getting more climate appropriate garb. Ulf once more led them and on Rime Street found a well recommended tailor still available for business. Birger the teifling was a very flamboyant purveyor of fine textiles, taking the measurements of Seh-k'r and Nemora in a most creeptastic and peripersonal space invading manner.   Meanwhile Kole left to stretch his legs a little, and just explore the street they were living on. He returned shortly after Nemora and Seh-k'r when it was discovered that Gamma had wandered off again. They were able to track the big warforged down, who apparently had tried to follow Nemora. The large footprints led to the tailor's shop on Rime Street, where they found Gamma standing in the window, dressed in very fine women's garb. After confronting a very affable Birger, it was clear the tailor thought Gamma was only a sort of construct or animated mannequin. They agreed to let Gamma stay and play dress-up in exchange for a modeling fee.   Returning to their longhouse, but not ready to end their night, the trio proceeded to find a lively establishment of music and libations. Immediately faced with a drinking challenge often called "Taking the Rail" they sampled full size drinks of the tavern's alcoholic offerings. Even the bard paused to see the results. A woozy party with one down completed the challenge only to be served a second helping of everything on the house. Catching a second wind, the remaining two standing made a valiant effort and succeeded in not poisoning themselves. Kole, saved by the intervention of the onlooking bard, hoisted his party members on his shoulders and headed back into the frigid night, taking them home.
