The Dawn Hunter's Guild

The Dawn Hunter's Guild is a small organization dedicated to the uncovering of advanced technology and powerful magical artifacts. They operate out of their small base in Blackbreach where they trek into the surrounding orcish wilderness in the hopes of finding their treasure. Because of their rag-tag set of members, they don't have the most outstanding reputation amongst the townsfolk of Blackbreach, and have been known to result in the destruction of a few buildings around town. However despite all of this, they generally protect the town from threats whilst bringing it wealth and economic opportunity, a necessity in the trying times of the war against the Cabal.   https://www.worldanvil.com/w/blackbreach-pygmyrhino990/t/history-of-the-dawn-hunter-s-guild-timeline

Structure

The Dawn Hunter's Guild are a small organization led by Fellis of Oldstone, an elderly man who fancies himself an entrepreneur. He provides the hunters themselves with the information, lodge, and equipment necessary to maintain their quest. He is also in charge of public relations and acts as an ambassador between the hunters and the League of Dawn. The hunters themselves are a small rowdy bunch, mostly mercenaries although some hold themselves to the guild with their life. The only other member of the guild who fills none of these positions is Elly, the secretary of Fellis who represents Fellis for the Hunters whilst Fellis is away on diplomatic missions, which is most of the time.

Public Agenda

Fellis of Oldstone maintains a simple agenda, the acquisition of wealth. The hunters on the other hand, maintain a variety of different motivations. Most are mercenaries in search of their own riches. Others are criminals and outlaws escaping the hand of justice in the untamed wilderness, and others still are just thrillseekers or naturalists hoping to bring back a good story to the campfire.

Assets

The guild is not too wealthy itself, as most of their treasure is either put to use in combat or sold off to maintain weaponry. Their primary asset is their hall, a large wooden building on the outskirts of Blackbreach that operates as their base of operations for hunting in Esteria. Back in the lands of The League of Dawn however, their primary base of operations is a small office in the Sunrise Enclave which Fellis uses to maintain a safe distance from the barbarism of the orcish wilderness. The Dawn Hunter's Guild no longer possesses a guild hall outside of Esteria, as not only did all of their hunters there die, but the town it was located in was incinerated by @Ygrlodth[person] in a related incident.

History

Originally just called the Hunter's Guild, Fellis operated the organization with the hopes of uncovering long lost artifacts and treasures to progress his own wealth at the cost of adventurers who would most likely be killed in duty. The guild operated this way for many years, seeing dozens of adventurers through its doors, most never to be seen again. However, after the tragedy of Ygrlodth, where the original guild hall was destroyed, Fellis was facing the dissolution of his enterprise. Luckily for him (and not so luckily for the rest of the world), the Cabal had recently seized control of the westerlands, and word of their undead hordes was spreading fast leading to the formation of the League of Dawn. High up league officials which Fellis had made somewhat unethical deals with were able to see his guild become government endorsed, rebranding it as the Dawn Hunter's Guild. The guild would operate out of the penal colony recently established on Esteria, hunting ancient high elvish artefacts and technology that would be used to assist the league in fighting the war against the Cabal.
