Sword of Division

The Sword of Division is one of the Six Wills, a set of ancient relics with magical properties. Although the other five relics are considered lost, the Sword was recently found near Hawong, the capital city of the Theocracy of Nampyeon.

History

The Sword, just like its sister relics, is shrouded in mystery and speculation. The oldest records mentioning the Sword go back to the pre-Revelation era, over seven centuries ago. However, the first record was the transcription of a folk tale, meaning that the relic is probably much older. Since its blade has a carving in the Sixth language, it is assumed that the Sword was forged during a time when the Sixth language was still alive —whenever that would be.
I learned all about the Sword's history some centuries ago, but after talking to my dear and now unconscious friend Freshia, I agreed not to make public any information other than what can be found with some minimal research.
— From Min-aniara Laita's travel journal.
The Sword was stolen from the Divine Guard's custody on th 14th of Ryeodenong by an independent criminal group.

Properties

Each of the Six Wills has a purpose, and that of the Sword is to divide. In order to do this, the Sword needs a bearer, someone to use it. The Sword's bearer will be the first person who touches the Sword with their bare skin. The Sword will become linked to that person until the person dies, at which point it will need someone else to link to.   Not much is known about the exact abilities of the Sword, although it is assumed that it has great power. Its intrinsic plane is as powerful as an Avatar's, which means that it's probably self-aware and has a certain degree of intelligence. The Sword can also change its own shape as long as it can be described as a sword.
