Order of the Moon
The Order of the Moon is an old religious organization from Yonhun that keeps the traditional practices of the Church of the Moon. It's one of the oldest religious organizations that are still active, and even with their strict tradition they have a large amount of followers, especially in Yonhun and Han Guo. Their symbol is a full moon.
Structure
The Order is based around the Moonlight Monastery, which has about four hundred monks and is located on the southern shore of the Han Guo Gulf, in Yonhun. The abbot is the leader of the Order, which has several smaller monasteries spread around the northwestern regions of the continent. These monasteries are led by a prior each and usually have about a hundred monks at any given time. The Order also has missionaries, wandering monks that travel all around the world spreading their beliefs and traditions. They are usually either trusted by the Order or considered to be problematic and rarely go back to their monastery. Although missionaries get basic self-defense training, these monks are not warriors.Activities
Other than the missionaries, the Order keeps to itself, content with keeping the old traditions alive and following the Great Scholar's principles. Even missionaries aren't very invasive, which are used to noticing when they aren't welcome and leaving immediately. However, rumor has it that the Moonlight Monastery has been somehow in contact with Yonhun's government. It's said that the princess of Yonhun recently visited the Monastery, and the recent surge of missionaries in the eastern areas of the continent seems to confirm that there's something else going on with the Order.
