Unzus Hilneny (/unˈzus/ /ˈhilneɲ/)

The Unzus was a small hill that existed in the exact middle of the tip of the Big Basin main delta. The legend, which nobody could point out its origin, said it was a tomb for the first king of the delta. It was easily recognizable from afar, even though there were a few other hillocks of similar size. The legend was always remembered for each time a new kingdom took over the place and claimed rights above the entire region. The myth of Unzus Hilneny, that literally means  the “Lord of the Bump”, as the hillock seemed a lot like a bump in the head of the delta, became the “casus beli” for countless wars. As the main part of the legend, probably not the main part, but the only one “remembered” by the current kings was there was told an inscription on his tomb said whoever takes the tomb, rules the delta. Even though changing hands many times, any king was able to claim that fulfilled the prophecy. As that specific spot was strategically much easier to be taken than kept. The only way to do it would be to fortify the Unzus, however, that was the only point of agreement between all contenders. If destroyed the hillock, nobody would be able to claim anything whatsoever. Finally, after years of wars, countless battles, thousands of victims of hunger and massacres, the villages of the region, on both sides of the border that was at the current time decided enough was enough. Not very long ago, is said that on a very dark night, they amassed every single powder cag they could find and made holes in the hillock to bury them. Nobody knows with any certainty how many cags were buried, as each village brought more individually and kept burying them. A small fish hut was built to gather all the wicks, so they could be lit at the same time. Not much time after it, another war broke out. Both armies approached on each side of the delta, aiming for the Unzus. It is said a fisherman called Meluots was chosen to light the wicks. He waited for the last minute, to be sure that both army commanders were able to see exactly what was about to happen. Then he lighted it. The explosion was heard hundreds of kilometres away, not only the Unzus was no more… the hole tip of the delta simply disappeared in broad daylight. Both commanders became so disgruntled about the event they turned around and march back to their kings. It looked for them that was a very clear message from the First King. None of them was to be the king of the delta. Then a fifty years peaceful period followed.
