Beyond the Sea

A world of strange and mysterious beings, illustrious civilizations, and the meeting of vastly different cultures, Beyond the Sea is a fantasy world dealing with colonialism, gunpowder, and conflicts between civilizations.   Powerful men and women shape history with magic and might, forging legends that live on for ages. Explorers from the islands of Vultion leave their isolated city-states to find a large and intimidating world across a vast ocean. The politicians of the Trennode Republic conspire and plot against one another. The Nakhala fight battles tooth and nail with bow and spear. Fearsome beasts of nature lurk below the waves, in forests and deserts, hiding within the mountains and valleys.   Magic is thought in some places to be merely myth and legend, while in others great feats are performed simply by people who will them to happen. Philosophers debate, merchants trade, blacksmiths forge, craftsmen craft, and magicians defy logic and reason. Volcanic creatures whisper insanities to those who will listen.
