Personal history
she was born into hardship, her mother was a former concubine who took up working the forge. Her mother was happy with her lot, and made sure the gibes of her fellow children stung less than they should.
At ten she lost her mother to a fire in the forge. cheated out of money left to her by her mother she took up a life of crime on the street. At 16 she picked the pocket of an old legionnaire, Armenius, who caught her.
He could have done terrible things to her, instead he adopted her, conscripted her into the Legion, and became her commander and father.
She has a flair for numbers and possessions. she is one of the best Quarter Masters the Legions has trained, according to her trainers.

History
it actually began 20 years ago when he fathered a child with a Haffork maid, his concubine, a daughter. The girl's mother was not considered good enough so she was paid to leave, with the child. It really took off four years ago when a half Orc street urchin tried to pick his pocket and he thought he recognized her mother in her face. Questioning lead him to realize she was probably his daughter, so he adopted her and got her into the army.
