Guild of Makers
Those who make things are often called Artificers, but really they are Artisans, no, the real Artificer is the one who bends magic to support natural laws and creates devices only dreamed of.
Gnomes are the usual race people think of when thinking of Artificers, but all races provide Artificers, from Hin to Haffork, Dwarf to Tiefling.
Imagination exists in all the Peoples of the Empire, and logic is learned easily, so the scientific method leads to Artificial Devices doing wondrous things.
Structure
members of the guild have their pet projects but also work to contracts, thus it is possible that they will have dozens of items on the go at any one time.
An administrator acts as a go between for the Guild and outsiders.
