First Declaration

Sixteen days after establishing the Colony and Armenius has his first Proclamation posted in the Main square, outside his offices. Everyone wanders past the area at some point to read it, and the bards are busily telling people what it says. It is laminated and will not be decayed by age.

Purpose

to bring to the attention of the populace those things The Governor has decided and signed into law.

Primus The Primary point of admission to the world is given its' first official name. Secundus Establish the Laws of the encampment. Tertius Prepare the people with the idea that they may not get to go home.

Caveats

The Governor has the right to take the land grants back, and the colonists, and to change names as is seen fit.

Historical Details

Background

Armenius agreed with the name given by the authorities of the Millessian Empire. Armenian Region was suggested by the governor's staff and the Auguries have been found to be Auspicious around that name. Armenius is flattered by the name.

History

Armenius wrote the document on the seventh day of the colony, his intention was to tie the people together, and to show the sort of rewards the adventurers and paramilitaries could expect.

Public Reaction

Legacy

New Parrissium reminds people of their home, the homeworld and what was left behind.

Term

Each clause has the term of "The Governor's Will". How long that is will depend on the Will of Armenius, and the success of the clause.

First Declaration

Imperial proclamation By the pen of Governor Armenius Simplicianey
Primus After discussion with the command staff and communications officers of the Encampment of the Lost it has been decided that this area will be known, from the time of this Proclamation until further notice, as New Parrisseum, and the land beneath it and for one thousand miles in each direction will be known as the Armenian region . This is done in accordance with the ancient rules of conquest incognito and the will of the circle as determined by auguries and omens.
Secundus The Laws of the Encampment are as follows: The Empire believes in The Eight Gods of the Divine Circle, and follows their edicts. The Empire believes that it is the proper place for all beings. The Empire believes that Truth comes from the Gods and is thus immutable. The Empire believes in its’ citizens. All Citizens are equal, that is the way the Gods have created them, and the Empire supports this. Every Citizen has the power within themself to improve this world. The Gods Placed the firewood there, but each citizen must gather and light it themself. A citizen should be prepared Physically, Mentally, and Morally to fight for the Empire as needed. A citizen must make the best of what equipment they have. The Empire was created to protect the citizens, and it shall stand forever as a wall between the Citizens and their Adversaries. The Empire exists by the rule of doing what is best for the greatest number, and a citizen can, in honor, only reflect this ideal. Whatever a citizen takes from the Gods and Goddesses there will come a reckoning. A citizen must be ready to pay when the Gods call due. Non-citizens must be shown the benefits of being citizens, and encouraged to civilize and become part of the Empire. Those who do not follow the laws of the gods, or Empire, shall not be citizens of the empire until they again follow those laws. Only in service can the soul be cured.
Tertius The companies of irregulars and Auxillaries may be granted domains in the future, if the companies prove worthy and strong. Lands granted in this way will be apportioned in accordance with the wishes, and strengths, of the particular companies. The purpose of these land grants is the efficient protection of the Kidnapped, and prosperity of the Refuge as a whole.
