Ancestorial Networking

Ancestor Stones can be connected via copper tubes and magical beams in communication. The mirrors that allow interaction with the Ancestors are black and give dark reflections of those who are interacting. Ancestors are allowed to live forever within dreams of helping their own descendants, their minds often visit their old friends in other Stones, via the network.

Utility

Eventually there will be a worldwide network of the Stones, for now there is only one stone on Beris.

Access & Availability

the ancestor stones are known to all, but possessed by few on Beris. Families will one day all have them, but for now they are held only by the Artificer's Guild and command of the colony.

Complexity

It is highly complex, but the ancestors are able to understand and help the living to understand.

Discovery

The Darklan had great necromancers, the Millessian had great artificers, it took centuries for the two sides to become comfortable enough to discuss principles, a couple of centuries more lead to the connection of Artifice and Necromancy. the First objects created were no more than calculators, the original computers. it was this device that give the Ancestor Stones their other name, Computers. It was healers that realised the brains were undead, and functional. Years of research gave the ancestors voice, and ears, and finally eyes.
