Amoria

Amoria

Amoria, also anciently known as Concorudya (from 'concord', meaning harmony or unity), is a ritual that has been held for centuries. It honours the celestial body Venus and is a ritual of love, desire, prosperity, fertility, happiness and harmony.   It is often practiced during the holiday Aeleahfah, a holiday that honours various deities through festivals and offerings. Many of these festivals feature the lighting of special torches called Dei'hras, which are created using willow wood and adorned with carvings. Dei'hras often have mixtures of dried herbs or flowers, that represent particular things, tied in bundles to the tops of them. Amorieacs (combinations of herbs or flowers that represent love, fertility or prosperity) are often burned, carried in special pouches or worn on herb and flower crowns. Cinnamon, coriander and angelica are found in common amorieacs.   During Amoria, offerings are often made to the ancient Beloseiean sorcerer Tsukaan, the governor of the sign Olios, a sign which represents prosperity and love. These offerings include various amorieacs, special foods or crystals.   Amoria is often performed along with loved ones, including partners and family. Chants or spells are often done, including the common 'Concorda', which is a simple chant done as part of the ritual.   The ritual is not ever performed in one strict way; anyone can perform it in a way that they feel honours the celestial body or any deities or beings relating to it.
Concorda is traditionally read in Torcanaide, though it also is read in English by some. It reads:   Apporta tir da'khra. Apporta t'arichi. Apporta t'amorica. Tas desirica ye basi.   Which translates to:   Bring me happiness. Bring me luck. Bring me love. I wish for light.
