Thakalay's Escape
General Information
Thakalay's Escape is a constellation of made up of 10 stars usually seen over the eastern sky. It is most recognized by dragulins and escaped drizards as it’s name is most readily derived from a story from the Dragon’s Code. Among travelers, the constellation is seen as an easy way to know if one is travelling towards the east, away from where the dragons once lived.Mythological Background
Thakalay was the daughter of Kuthurut, the obedient servant of Chromata, and her father wanted her to follow in his footsteps. However, Thakalay was horrified at Chromata’s dark ambitions, and more importantly, considered herself a free spirit. As such, she grew wings and flew away from her father and Chromata. This act of rebellion is supposedly what gave drizards, beings created by Kuthurut to serve dragons, free will. As such, Thakalay is revered by drizards who flee from their oppressive colonies. The constellation appears to depict Thakalay’s escape with the top five stars represent her and her wings, and then a sixth star for tail. The bottom four stars are her father’s claw, reaching out to stop her.In Other Cultures
While Thakaly's Escape, sometimes shortened to Escape, is the standard name for those that use it for navigation, as well as among dragulin, it has been given other names depending on where one is from. It is known as the Arrow of the Four, a weapon blessed by all four of their gods which was used to pierce through the barrier between worlds when elves came to Belkora. Among humans, it is primarily known as Heaven's Flower, a perfect flower believed to grow within God's paradise.
