Sir Gusg Gallick Gordan (a.k.a. Gou)
Physical Description
Gou is fairly fit and muscled. He has a stocky build, limiting his agility.
Gou has slightly darker skin compared to other Centrum due to him spending a lot of time outside.
Gou is ambidextrous, although he favors his left hand.
Proud of getting into the guard, Gou loves to wear the colors of the Silver Kingdom, gray and purple. He'll often wear his armor, but when he's not, he wears a tunic and pants combonination.
Gou wears steel armor of the Silver Kingdoms and wields two flails.
Mental characteristics
Gou was born to a humble family in the Silver City. He was always a bit larger than other kids, especially his brother Lou. Despite being the oldest and biggest in his friend group, Gou never used his size to bully others, instead protecting others from bullies. His want to protect grew to encompass his entire city, so he signed up to join the city guard. He failed at first, but then began a training regimen and tried again, joining at the age of 16.
His brother Lou followed him into the guard a few years later, but their paths soon diverged. Lou had went out to find the exiled Prince Gildas after King Boden III disappeared, but never returned. Soon after Gildas arrived, slaughtering Reginald and his mercenaries. Not trusting the new king, Gou left into exile from the kingdom along with Meg and a few other guards. He later returned, fighting alongside the Golden Empire to break into the Silver City and kill Gildas.
Soon after Boden's return to the throne, Gou was one of the main guards to help integrate Boden's new edicts, developing a friendship with the young king. Eventually, Gou was appointed to be Boden's top advisor, effectively becoming the right-hand man of the king. However, he still hopes to one day find his brother, believing that he's still alive.
Gou received basic combat training from the Martial Academy, along with teaching himself some more specific aspects of combat.
In his youth, Gou worked at the local book store, helping shelve new books. Later, he would become a city guard before graduating to a palace guard. After his brief time in exile, he Gou would become the advisor to
Boden Argent III.
Gou is one of the few people to be rejected by the guard at first before later joining it. He also is one of the youngest royal advisers.
Gou originally was rejected by the guard due to his less than stellar fitness.
Gou believes that the secret to a good live is striving to see the good in everything around you. He refuses to believe that people can't be good and prefers to use violence as a last resort. The one exception is he's always willing to jump into battle against "bullies" or people that hurt innocents.
Personality Characteristics
Gou want to protect as many people as possible while also seeking to find his brother.
Gou is good at connecting to people and combat, but is poor at intellectual pursuits and strategy.
Gou is incredibly amiable and loyal, refusing to ever give up on a friend.
At times, Gou can be naive, falling for the deceptions of others, and he has a poor memory for numbers and academia, as opposed to knowing things about others.
Social
While Gou doesn't dislike the religious, he just views it as an excuse to hate others and prefer to live his life as if there's nothing after, making both his life and the lives of others as good as possible.
Gou easily connects with almost everyone, both the poor and the wealthy, from his sheer congeniality.
Gou loves playing cards, especially Go Fish, his brother's favorite game in childhood.
History
The two brothers were really close in childhood, despite the age gap. The always looked out for each other, the bigger Gou protecting the smaller Lou, and the smarter Lou helper the slower Gou. Their bond persisted into Gou's adulthood, with the two taking as many shifts together in the guard. However, they haven't seen each other since Lou left to find the exiled prince Gildas. Ever since Boden's return, Gou has been looking for any information on his brother's whereabouts.
History
The became friends after Boden's return to the throne after the Gold-Silver War II. Gou was one of the few guards who supported his claim to throne as opposed to an Imperial Viceroy, and helped implement Boden's new policies. Despite not having the same level of education as the king, Gou could help Boden hone his people skills and connect with the common man. Through this process, the two formed a fast friendship, which was cemented when Boden appointed Gou as his main adviser.
History
Gou and Meg were vaguely aware of each other when they both worked as guards. However, they truly got to know each other when they were both exiled by Gildas for not agreeing with his declarations. They learned a mutual respect: Gou for Meg's battle prowess and tenacity, and Meg, although begrudgingly, for Gou's unending well of optimism. This friendship only strengthened when they were the main supporters of Boden reclaiming the throne. Once Boden's power was consolidated and Gou made an adviser and Meg a queen, the three would often work together.
Relationship Reasoning
Their relationship is built on a mutual respect of each other's strengths.
Gou has wealth from his job as top adviser to the Silver King, but he does not spend it much, preferring to put his money back into the city in the form of various programs and institutions to aid the city.
