Alignment
Manifestation
While alignment among mortals is entirely subjective, the gods define morality on their own terms and apply that to the mortals that follow them. Alignment falls under two categories: Moral and Ethical. Moral alignment deals with someone's goals, while ethical alignment deals with how someone accomplishes those goals. Someone's alignment is defined using their Ethical and then Moral alignment.
Moral alignment comes in three varieties: Good, Neutral, and Evil. Good aligned people have goals that help others or are unwilling to hurt innocents in pursuit of their goals. Morally neutral people only really have personal goals and do not care if they hurt others, but generally avoid it to avoid hassle. Evil people either have goals that will hurt others or don't care what cost is payed to accomplish their goals.
Ethical alignment also comes in three types: Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic. Lawful people follow a strict honor code and will generally follow the law, unless they feel the law is unethical. Ethically neutral people will generally just follow most laws except for obviously awful ones and don't bother with strict codes. Chaotic people, on the other hand, actively avoid honor codes, as they find them restrictive in accomplishing their goals.
