SUMMARY OF EVENTS


MILITARY – Ground action taken upon entrance to District D. Enemy-initiated attacks increased as troops progressed through Sector D-4. There were six major incidents between 18:00 – 22:00: Two enemy-initiated attacks in Sector D-5 (One VSI, One KIA). Two enemy-initiated attacks in Sector D-4. All enemies confirmed eliminated. One friendly-initiated attack in Sector D-2 to regain friendly control. Two minor incidents occurred between 22:00-24:00 in Sector D-1: One friendly-initiated attack aiding in departure from District D. Settlement noted and partially dismantled. Close proximity to Unspoken Zone noted.
  1. SECTION I – ENTRANCE INTO DISTRICT D
A. MR I: No immediate action upon entry. Troops cleared area and investigated contact with potential enemy guerilla troops.
  B. MR II: Troops made safe passage through Sectors D1-D4. Evidence of rebuilding identified within Sector D-4. Beginnings of permanent structures had been set-up along the roadways of the sector. Friendly troops disassembled defensive framework. Spent shotgun shells (19) and blunt weaponry discovered on scene. No visual contact made.
  2. SECTION II – DISTRICT D - SECTOR D-5
C. MR III: Enemy contact made upon entrance into tent city in Sector D-5. Troops immediately under fire. One friendly KIA. Friendly troops held position and drove away enemies before clearing tent city. Agents began discovery sessions, as noted below.
  D. MR IV: Items of note discovered: empty food cans (32), empty water bottles (84), camping tents (6), map of Atwood, clothing items, knives (4), spent shotgun shells (61).   E. MR V: Second enemy contact made two hundred feet from first. Enemy snipers fired on friendly troops. Troops ordered to retreat to Sector D-1. One friendly VSI, brought back to Sector D-2 for triage before returning to city for revision. Expected to recover.
  3. SECTION III – DISTRICT D - SECTOR D-4
D. MR VI: Friendly troops were ambushed while passing through the remains of the previously destroyed outpost. Enemy troops were driven towards the entrance of Sector D-4. Friendly backup approach the sector and create pinchpoint for enemy troops. Unknown number of enemy agents escaped through Atwood wreckage.
  F. MR VII: Enemy troops attempt to call for ceasefire. Enemy agents emerge during armistice and rushed friendly reinforcements. Friendly troops close in on enemy lines and deploy HEI as crowd control. All enemies eliminated.
  4. SECTION IV – DISTRICT D - SECTOR D-2
H. MR VIII: Enemies attempted to blockade retreat. Friendly troops initiated contact in movement to clear safe passage and regain control of sector. Enemy troops were successfully repelled back.
  5. SECTION V – DISTRICT D - SECTOR D-1
I. MR IX: Troops set up temporary base of operations within Sector D-1. Area remained quiet for thirty minutes before enemies were spotted around the perimeter. Enemies fired into the camp but friendly troops had considerable cover. Enemies were frightened off with use of HEI. Friendly troops were able to depart District D by 24:00.
 

Report Notes

 
It appears agents may be setting up enemy-controlled zones in the far sectors of District D.
It is recommended Beckettville forces institute a presence in the district to dissuade further restructuring.
 

Discoveries To Date

Assets
Enemy forces had formed a tent city and amassed a small collection of supplies. Most supplies appeared to be from scavenging Atwood but fresh edibles from Beckettville were discovered. Investigation ongoing.
 
Infrastructure
Tents have been dismantled by friendly troops. Any permanent structures will be dealt with in the following six months. Surrounding buildings have been cleared of enemies and set ablaze to discourage additional settlement.
 
Organization
Group does not act out of mob mentality. Presumed one or two individuals direct forces from discrete location. Investigation ongoing.

  Funds will be allocated for additional discovery missions to Sector D-4 and Sector D-5. Video and audio recordings will be required to document any and all contact or incidents during discovery missions. Ensure Neighborhoods Watch is informed so they may keep an eye for any counteraction.
  Shut down all guided tours beyond District A. No visitation whatsoever beyond District B. We do not want to encourage any non-sanctioned discoveries, whether by our team or civilian exposure.

Really well made! I appreciate the details like the counts of shot gun shells etc, it makes it feel a lot more believable. Often documents like these rely a bit too much on building up mystery with redacted segments, so it's honestly refreshing to see a document in full that we can try extrapolate from.   I'm not great at that kind of extrapolating though. I appreciated the report notes that spell some of it out a bit more
