Shusina, matron of knowledge and secrets

The Seeing Lady

Shusina is the lady of all knowledge and unknown secrets. She is the overseer of child prodigies and master archivists alike. Shusinas worshippers are those who covet and actively seek out new knowledge, whether they be priests or warriors, and this is a practice that she actively encourages of her followers. While being a lawful deity she supports the bold prospects of uncovering new knowledge or forgotten knowledge, so long as that knowledge is not harmful to others. Her followers view the likes of necromancy and such dark magics as a sort of forbidden and evil knowledge, however it is no less important. Such information informs those with the capability to stop such dark magics with the means to do so.   The goddess herself exists in a paradoxical state. She knows all knowledge that has existed before, exists in the present, will exist in the future, making her one of if not the most intelligent beings who has ever existed. Because of this she is often accused by nonbelievers or other doubtful parties of being lax and that she could predict and prevent every possible war, disaster and horrific happening that could ever possibly happen. But because of all this knowledge that she possesses at one time she in turn can predict nothing of guarantee save for her own predictions based on her supreme intelligence. As such the offerings she seeks from her worshippers is often knowledge and secrets of the world she inhabits, which helps to better inform her of the present time that she inhabits.   As is common with gods who occupy similar alignments and domains, Shusina is often depicted as having a loving relationship with fellow goddess, Vensalaya the goddess of magics. Knowledge and Magic are quite similar domains on a cosmic scale, as magic is seen as its own form of knowledge outside of Shusinas domain. Gender has never really mattered to the gods and has always been an image posed on the gods by the mortals who worship them, and it is unknown what exactly constitutes in a relationship between gods. However as far as Shusina would be concerned this would mean that their followers would often exchange knowledge between each other as if they were worshippers of the same god and will often exchange knowledge between them.   When the gods left the material plane and bestowed upon the mortals, they left behind several gifts to help protect them from danger, one of these gifts was arcane magic, and Shusinas contribution to this was the creation of Divination magic. This magic was to help the uncovering of knowledge, finding of secrets and predicting of possible events which could come. Shortly after the Mysterium Era, an order of warrior/monks was established under the pretences of the safe keeping of beneficial and entombing of dark and harmful knowledge. This group is known as the Order of the Violet Orchid, who are mostly Knowledge clerics and Oath of the Seeker Paladins.   As such her followers are most often those who seek out knowledge and protect it, knowledge both good and bad. Her followers often fall into such classes, Oath of the Seeker paladins, Inquisitive Rogues, Knowledge Clerics and some Divination Wizards.

Tenets of Faith

Her tenets are as follows:   Her tenets are as follows: Seek out new information that you can learn, and any knowledge you have already, always attempt to master it to the best of your ability. Never believe you have learned of all there is to learn in life, there can always be the potential of the discovery or creation of new knowledge which would help to better others.   Never claim superiority over your peers because of your intellect, always seek to teach those who are ignorant of your knowledge, mockery and discrimination of those who lack such knowledge that you possess makes you unfit to carry it. Money matters not when it comes to knowledge, anyone is worthy of knowledge regardless of their backgrounds.   Harmful knowledge exists but destroying it helps nothing. Be wary of corruption from these sources and take precaution in examining it as to learn how to deal with threats of equal threat and Source. Hide away such harmful knowledge where it can only be accessed by those who mean to use it for the betterment of society.   Secrets in themselves invite discovery, do not scorn the secrets that may be held by others who do not wish to share such Knowledge may do so in time. Secrets exist to prevent the uncovering of knowledge to those who are not currently deemed worthy of such knowledge but could be in time. However always be wary of those who would seek to misuse the creation of dangerous secrets...

Holidays

The Day of Knowing: 26/09 Shusinas day is unusual for other gods. Its unusual nature revolves around the sharing of all different types of knowledge between groups whowould normally not interact. Each year worshippers of Shusina will go to places of practice such as blacksmiths, carpenters, stables and other places far outside their normal knowledge base. They spend the day learning the work of one of these indivduals by spectating their work closely as well as sharing knowledge of their own as well. This day is seen as very important for her worshippers as it enlightens an individual that they are but a small piece of a large world and that their is always more knowledge in the world to be uncovered and learned
