The Glacial Wastes

A Godweapon that belonged to the Fourth Ancient. This particular claymore was regarded by many as impossible to wield. The Fourth proved them all wrong by cleaving a boulder with a single swing. When the Fourth fell in battle, the impact his weapon created a neverending cascade of rainbows in the air above the city.

The Godweapon was embedded within a case of Cosmic Ice, a one of a kind form of ice that cannot be thawed. A large monolith was built around it, and became the Fourth city to be founded after the Great Primordial War.

Caladbolg is located at the far north, where the freezing temperatures and unforgiving tundras give birth to hardened warriors who wear the glacial storms like second skin. Warriors here are referred to as Highlanders, those who swore an oath to never raise their blades unless called upon for action.
The architecture of Caladbolg has specifically been built to be comfortably constructed around the massive ice glaciers that dot the landscape. Winter is endless here, with very little sunlight to be ever had. Most of the wildlife is still prominent, with giant furred beasts ripe with fresh hide for fur cloaks.
