Sun Catching
When night falls and the moon rises over the land some children might be stricken with fear. This is only natural when the Moon of Reincarnation beckons her children to walk the earth and monsters roam about. At moments like this there is little a child can do; only the light of the Soul Sun can keep the monsters at bay after all. That's why smart children prepare themselves and sleep with a jar of caught sunlight next to their bed.
Execution
To catch a ray of sunlight the child first needs a bottle. These are often gifted to them by grandparents or guardians when they reach about 6 years of age and become concerned about the terrors of the moon. The child then takes this bottle outside on a particularly sunny day and takes it to a clear spot. There they place the bottle down and either alone or with other children trying to catch sunlight the sing the following song:
Soul Sun hear me sing! I want to keep a little of what you bring! After singing this song three times while dancing nonstop the children will quickly close the lid on the bottle, having successfully caught a bit of sunlight. They then take their bottles to their rooms and keep it there next to their beds. After keeping it for a week the child let the sunlight go again, thanking it for protecting them and hoping to one day meet each other again.
Soul Sun hear me here! I need your ray to keep at bay my fear!
Soul Sun hear me now! Enter this little bottle on the ground!
Soul Sun hear me through! Come to me as one day my soul come to you!
