Edge Pass

Due to the geography of the districts within Bastille, citizens are able to live on both sides of the land mass like two sides of a coin. Gravity within Bastille does not conform to the standard laws within the Material Plane and shifts with the geography of each district. This allows travelers to stand on the edge of a district as easily as if they were standing on the side facing the The Great Light or the side facing away. The Edge Pass stands at such an area.

A Test Of Faith

While approaching the Edge Pass, the ground is flat and level right up to the point where the ground falls away. Looking over the edge from the dark side of the Shattergleam Forest, a traveler will find himself staring straight down toward The Great Light. It is a fall of hundreds of miles and most certainly fatal. A fork of the Black Gorge flows over the Edge Pass sending thousands of gallons of water plummeting towards the Great Light to be recycled in Istishia's Dance.   If a Duskmen wants to travel from the dark side of Shattergleam to the light side, it necessitates an act of bravery and faith. An individual wishing to travel from one side of a district to the other must jump off the edge of the district and allow gravity to pull them back to solid ground on the other side.
