The woman in the windmill has offered to restore Markadoo's strength but needs Quill's yarn to do so.

She informed them that the yarn contains the life force of a random Barovian, she doesn't know who. If she cuts the yarn the Barovian will die but she can use their strength to restore Markadoo.
