Herder's Apothecary
A squat, tightly packed quarter of the River Ward houses one building of note amongst it's old tenements: Herder's Apothecary. Off of a winding side street, the old hermit Herder plies her trade, growing herbs and mixing poultices for the sick and needy. She turns none away. However, she is known for passing judgement on those she finds unworthy with her inscrutable magic. Equal parts respected local sage, highly skilled physician, and batty old woman, Herder and her apothecary are one of the most well known entities of the poor quarter of Dunekeep.
Herder also has an ear to the underground of the Marbled Bay. She is sympathetic to thieves and rogues, and is known to pass on and hoard information to those that need it. Her gathering and hoarding belies a secret though: she, too, is looking for something in her tumultuous city. What might happen if the right kind of person offered help to the wizened druid?
Architecture
Dunekeep is a city filled with different architectural styles, as trends have come and gone and buildings and streets have changed hands. Herder's Apothecary used to be a tenement housing project built in the era before the Second Divine March. Squat, solid stone makes up the bulk of the structure, with small, boarded windows that Herder has since opened up. A large opening in the roof lets sunlight into the main room, while enchanted vines twist up and around the structure, absorbing rain and wind and preventing it from entering the quaint building.
