The Collatory Scribes

Chief amongst the Elves' quest for apotheosis is the ancient order of scholar monks known as the Collatory Scribes. The modern order of scribes consist of both a secular and monastic caste. The secular caste of the order is split into the Order of Providers and the Order of Seekers. The monastic caste refers to the Order of Custodians. The holy order makes its home in the Grand Library at the center of the elven homelands and dates back to the establishment of written history.  Likewise, the Collatory Scribes are the only elven sect to take on the analysis of the wholistic history of Bael'Ceardha.   The Order of Providers largely consisting of wood elves serving the physical needs of the monastic order and their work by providing food, firewood, parchment, ink, and other necessary objects as well as skilled tasks such as medical treatment. As the duly appointed caretakers of the elven homelands, wood elves reserve this honor for their most diligent and talented workers.   The Order of Seekers consists of various leaders and scholars from each of the various elven clans studying abroad. Each of these individuals is selected either for their skills at research or editing. These varied individuals serve as liaisons to the Order of Custodians, working to ensure the research and knowledge of their clan is transferred to the grand library for holy collation.   The Order of Custodians consists of a holy caste of Eladrin that wander the halls of the Grand Library. The Custodians work tirelessly to catalogue and archive the immense amounts of information offered to them while simultaneously attempting to divine hidden meanings from the various articles and theses brought to them. These Eladrin use their inherent abilities to traverse the labyrinthine library, memorizing its shifting layout as a rite of passage among their ranks. Elven history claims that this holy work is what granted the ability to move in such a manner as they can become "as swift, weightless, and mutable as an idea" if only for an instant.
