Goddess Shrines

There are six known Goddess Shrines spread throughout Azaria (and a secret seventh shrine is rumoured to lie within the Airwater Gorge). Each one was built by House Gladier, as they wanted to create libraries to help replenish all the knowledge that was destroyed during the Age of Darkness. In Eliza’s time, however, most people think they were temples made to honour the Goddess for Azaria's victory over Esturia and the end of the Age of Darkness.
The Shrines are named after the cities they are either located within or located closest too- Lanaran, Dhjerba, Ornixa, Estovan, Dragonvale, and Viens.

Purpose / Function

Built to house libraries of lost knowledge, but when they fell to ruin became dedicated to the Goddess

Architecture

Every shrine is build of marble and granite, and almost all of them have a central sanctum surrounded by two passage rings.

History

Built by House Gladier to become new libraries of knowledge to help replace what was lost during the Age of Darkness. Alas after the fall and demise of the House, the shrines fell to ruin and became historical landmarks dedicated to the Goddess.
