Dhjerba
City of Merchants. Dhjerba, the old capital of Esturia, was destroyed by Azarian forces after the Celestial Creatures were slain, and then taken over. The Empress abdicated and ceded power to Azaria, much to her people’s dismay. But the Azarians allow the people autonomy for the city and it is run by merchants, not the military like every other city. Thus the city once more becomes a major trade hub, famed for its towers and open market. The Esturian elements remain strong so the people here speak with strong accents (Eliza’s mother lost hers quite quickly as she moved away). It’s also one of the most multicultural cities and holds an inventor’s fair.
A large cathedral was built over the Gladier shrine as, like in Dragonvale, the site was considered holy.
